Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on therapy developed by osteopathic physician Dr. John E. Upledger.
It works with the body to release tension, support the nervous system, and restore a greater sense of ease.
What is the Craniosacral System?
The craniosacral system is made up of the membranes and fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. It extends from the skull down through the spine to the sacrum, forming a continuous system that is deeply connected to the entire body.
This system plays an important role in supporting the nervous system and overall function. The movement of cerebrospinal fluid creates a subtle rhythmic motion that can be felt throughout the body.
When this system becomes restricted—due to stress, injury, or long-standing tension—it can affect how the body functions as a whole.
What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral Therapy is a hands-on manual therapy that uses light, precise touch to evaluate and release restrictions within the body.
CST works by listening to the body and supporting it as it shifts out of patterns of tension and into better balance. This allows the nervous system to settle and improves the body’s ability to function efficiently.
This approach is especially helpful for individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or are not responding well to more direct or aggressive treatments.
Why Cranioascral Therapy?
Many people come to Craniosacral Therapy after trying other approaches that either felt too forceful or didn’t create lasting change.
CST offers a different approach.
Instead of pushing through resistance, it works by supporting the body as it releases tension in its own time. This allows the nervous system to settle and the body to shift in a more sustainable way.
For many clients, this is where things finally begin to change — not because more force was applied, but because the body was given the right conditions to let go.
When the body doesn’t need more force, it needs better listening.

Client Comments
“The craniosacral system influences the function of the entire body — and when it’s restricted, the body cannot fully express health.”
